There is a vulnerability in Acrobat Reader 7 that can expose the user’s hard drive to hackers. The flaw was identified by the Chaos Computer Club in Germany. Internet Explorer and Firefox are both susceptible to this problem. It is highly advised to upgrade to Acrobat Reader 8 as soon as possible.

Feed is Fixed

Saturday, December 23rd, 2006

It looks like the RSS feed is finally fixed. I will keep an eye on it as there have been times when it goes out to lunch but if it does just try again later as it usually resolves itself.

The subscription buttons work fine as do the bookmarks.

New Search Engine Optimization

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

A new type of search engine optimization is in the wings from Google. It is searching with accessibility in mind. What does this mean? Websites will not only be rated on content but accessibility as well. Companies like US Web, have established themselves as leaders in helping webmasters make their sites WAG and 508 (both web accessible guidelines) compatible.
Though only in beta we believe that Google’s search will soon include accessibility as part of their ranking algorithm so think about this as a web site is designed.
